Frankincense essential oil benefits have been known to include antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-fungal, cicatrisant, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe the scalp.
Frankincense infused oil is generally used to help slow (and ultimately prevent) hair loss, as well as stimulate hair growth when applied topically to the scalp. Frankincense contains Vitamin E (although in small amounts) which help to nourish and strengthen the hair from within.
The oil also acts to inhibit the body’s production of a chemical compound known as alpha 5 – reductase, which occurs in men when testosterone gets blocked in the pores under your scalp. The testosterone reacts with the hair follicles and the reductase forms as the result of this reaction. This reductase then clogs up the pores of the hair follicles and starves them of essential nutrients and prevents the release of natural oils that keep the hairs moisturized. This means that the hairs become weaker and will eventually either break or fall out.
How To Use:
Thermal (Hot) Oil Treatment
Massage the oil into your scalp in circular motions and work your down the hair.
Following these steps, cover your with a towel or some plastic sandwich wrap and let your hair rest for at least 30 minutes (however, you can leave it in overnight as well). After this, simply rinse your hair and condition normally. You should see results after the first wash, but for the best outcome I recommend continual use on a weekly basis twice a week. You will notice that your hair is softer, has more sheen and less split ends.
Meditation Pineal Massage
Massage the oil into the area between you eyebrows and on your temples to deepen your meditation practice. Promotes feelings of being mentally balanced, grounded, and receptive to new experiences and thoughts
